Capture stunning images of Estonia’s marine wildlife from our purpose-built boat photography hide. Equipped with one-way photographic glass, the boat lets you photograph seabirds, seals, and other wildlife up close without being seen.
Our seal watching and marine nature photography tours are guided by highly experienced marine experts and nature educators:
Mati Kose – wildlife photographer, guide, nature tourism developer and marine conservationist.
Ivar Jüssi – seal researcher and conservationist and marine tour guide.
Marko Poolamets – wildlife photographer, nature education promoter and nature guide.
From this boat hide you can photograph a variety of beautiful marine wildlife such as seabirds, seals and other marine mammals.
The hide operates throughout the summer season (1st May-30th September), priced at €135 per person, with a minimum of 3 guests.
For our seal and seabird photography, we use a purpose-built, enclosed-cabin boat with up to 6 seats. Its one-way photographic glass windows allow you to photograph wildlife while remaining hidden, minimizing disturbance to shy animals.
Our trips depart from Kaberneeme harbour in the middle of the Kolga Bay, which in addition to the seals around the Malus Islands also allows you to explore the other islands or seascapes of the area.
Seals are marine mammals that captivate observers with their expressive, almost human-like behaviour and fascinating way of life. Watching grey seals basking on rocks and gliding through the waters around the small islands and coves of Kolga Bay offers a unique opportunity to experience one of Northern Estonia’s most stunning seascapes—and to observe the Baltic’s top predator up close in its natural habitat.
For seal and wildlife photography, we use a purpose-built boat with an enclosed cabin and seating for up to 6 passengers. Its one-way mirror photographic glass windows allow you to observe nature while remaining hidden, minimizing disturbance to shy wildlife.
The electric bow thruster operates quietly and allows precise positioning, so you can approach and observe seals much more closely without the noise and disturbance of traditional motorboats.
The boat’s hull is constructed from highly durable recycled plastic with a stable, low-profile design.
Combined with adjustable seating positions, this makes our trips ideal for photographing and filming seals and seabirds at eye level. When weather and visibility permit, we can even monitor the seals’ underwater activities using a small underwater drone.
For your comfort, both windows and roof hatches can be opened to let in fresh sea air and sunshine, or to observe distant animals and birds through binoculars while taking in the surrounding seascapes.
Depending on the weather and the wishes of our clients, our tours last 2 ½ - 4 hours.
Longer trips (incl. Sunrise and sunset times) as well as in combination with other activities are possible by special arrangement.
The boat can accommodate up to 6 passengers at one time.
The price of the trip:
Adults: 135 EUR
