Other Hides
Kipling Hide
The Kipling Photography Hide at Pench Tree Lodge is one of its kind, professionally designed, luxury underground wildlife photography hides in India. It gives photographers and wildlife lovers the freedom to get close to wildlife safely and discreetly, without disturbing or impacting the animals. And while it allows wildlife to behave and interact with each other with complete freedom, photographers gain a unique eye-level perspective from up close.
It opens onto a reflection pond which acts as both, a water source for wildlife, as well as a photography feature for reflection images of the wildlife, that come to the water, to either drink or bathe.
The Kipling Hide can comfortably accommodate 4 photographers. The Hide has a coffee station, fridge, charging stations, and professional bean bags for photography. The Kipling Hide is the result of the synergy of an ecologically sensitive approach, combining sustainable design and ergonomics keeping in mind long hours of photography, comfort, and complete safety of the guests.
Besides a number of bird species visiting the hide we also have jackals, wild boars, jungle cats, and mongoose visiting regularly.
Ongava Hide
The hide is at Ongava Lodge in Namibia. From the main area, there are great views over the waterhole. This is a fantastic area where guests can enjoy dinner in the main dining area or outside under the stars. Additionally, this waterhole is the perfect location for tripod photography. It is not uncommon to see some elephants or rhinos while dining.
The Pond Hide
This hide is never sold species specific. Generally photographers spending the day/night in this hide will achieve images of multiple water based species however everything that visits is completely wild we can never fully guarantee which will show on any given day/night.

Hide rules.
no Smoking.
Smoking in the hides is strictly prohibited, both because of the regulations in force and in order not to disturb the wildlife and to ensure a successful photo session.
Do not touch the glass.
The special glass prevents the animals from seeing what is happening inside the hide. However, if you get too close to the window, the animals might sense movement that alters their behavior and then leave the area.
Keep Quiet
Animals are not accustomed to hearing strange sounds. Loud, persistent noises can interfere with the activities of the species you are photographing. Silence your cell phone, keep conversations to a minimum, and if necessary, speak softly.
Be Patient and stay alert.
Wild animals are unpredictable, and it is possible that nothing will happen for hours and exactly in the last 5 minutes something unexpected will occur. Be patient and do not miss a thing!
