This week I had the pleasure of joining the Baltic Nature Tourism Seminar in beautiful Annas Koku Skola, Latvia an inspiring venue surrounded by nature and full of creative energy.
Together with passionate professionals from across the region, we explored the future of nature-based tourism in the Baltics. Some of the key discussion topics included:
- What are the main challenges and opportunities in attracting foreign visitors to the Baltics today?
- What can Latvians and Estonians learn from each other to strengthen nature tourism offerings?
- How can public institutions and tourism businesses collaborate more effectively to promote the Baltics as one destination?
- Which emerging trends such as digitalisation, sustainability, and slow travel , will shape the future of tourism in our region?
- Are language barriers still limiting international growth, and how can we overcome them?
- And importantly ,how can we prepare for potential overtourism while maintaining balance and authenticity?
It was a fantastic event, filled with valuable insights, shared experiences, and new connections.
A big thank you to Edgar and the entire team at Annas Koku Skola for their warm hospitality and for creating such an inspiring environment for dialogue and collaboration. And of course Baltic Nature Tourism with special thanks to Elin of Estonian tourism longside with Celotajs.
