Photograph the Endangered Iberian Lynx

The Iberian lynx, the world’s most endangered feline, thrives primarily in the Sierra de Andújar. Within this region, their populations are highest on estates that effectively manage and conserve their rabbit populations. Rabbits are crucial for the lynx’s survival, as they form the vast majority of their diet.

We’ve partnered with a private estate dedicated to maintaining robust rabbit populations, allowing us to offer an exceptional Iberian lynx photography hide. Our setup includes a series of fixed hides, each accommodating two people, strategically located on land thoughtfully landscaped with rocks and native vegetation. This design ensures optimal natural conditions for photography.

Iberian Lynx Hide Overview

From these hides, you can capture stunning images of several lynx specimens – adults, juveniles, and even cubs (during the appropriate season) – often just a few meters away. Photography sessions are available during the early morning and throughout the afternoon.

Our hides operate year-round, offering diverse photographic opportunities across the seasons:

Winter: Witness mating behaviors.

Almost all year: Observe interactions between adults and younger lynx.

Late spring and summer: Capture images of adults with their kittens.

Most of the year: Photograph lynx resting for extended periods on rocks in front of the hides.

When natural light is insufficient, the scene is illuminated with subtle spotlights to ensure excellent photographic conditions.
