DAY 1: Arrival Delhi /Agra (L,D)
Staying at the Jaypee Vasant Continental.
Morning drive to Agra (approx. 4-hrs drive via the Expressway)
On arriving in Agra visit the Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar, which is perhaps the best-preserved fort in
India. Construction of this crescent-shaped fort 2.5km in circumference commenced in 1565. Contained
within the huge double outer walls up to 20m high and broken by a series of huge gates, the fort is almost a
city within a city.
Transfer to hotel and check-in. Lunch at the hotel.
Later during the day, visit the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays) till sunset. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in
memory of his wife Mumtaz Begum. Construction took 22 years and the Taj Mahal was completed in 1653 at
a speculated cost of 3 million rupees, equivalent to around 70 million US Dollars today.
Dinner and overnight at the Hotel
Day 2 Agra – Delhi (B)
Sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal to view the marble sparkle in the dawn light.
Return to the hotel for breakfast.
Later drive back to Delhi (approx. 4-hrs drive via the Expressway)

If you love photography, no other sight will do the right honors to your picture, like Taj Mahal.
- The view of Taj Mahal from outside the main gateway is the most clicked view of Taj Mahal.
- If you want to get the right shot of the structure during sunrise, visit the guesthouse on east side. Taj Mahal will look in a golden hue from this side.
- If you want to photograph the detailed decorations on the monument, choose to click Taj Mahal from the mosque, which is on the west side to the mausoleum.
- If you want to capture the symmetry of the land, visit Mehtab Bagh garden on the opposite side of Taj Mahal.
- Taj Mahal complex is open for tourists on five nights per lunar cycle. The full moon night, two nights before and after the full moon night. This is the time of exceptional beauty.
- You can get the dome view of the structure from Agra Fort.
