Puma Spotted Near our Wildlife Hide
Photographers at the renowned Wildlife Dreams hide complex near Krootuse have been treated to an extraordinary twist: a puma has been spotted roaming the area after escaping from a zoo in Latvia.
Unlike lynx or wolves, which belong to Europe’s natural fauna, the puma is a New World predator, native to the Americas. Its sudden appearance in the Estonian wilderness has sparked both curiosity and excitement.
Phil, who worked with pumas at the Cat Survival Trust in Hertfordshire, believes this encounter will fuel comparisons with the legendary “big cat of Bodmin Moor,” often thought to be a puma roaming the wilds of Devon and Cornwall.
For Wildlife Dreams, already hailed as one of Europe’s finest facilities for wildlife photography, this development is nothing short of sensational.
With Sony and Digital Camera magazine set to showcase the hides in an upcoming feature, the chance of photographing such an unexpected visitor adds a thrilling new dimension to an already world-class experience.
Book your place in our hide to see if it decides to make an appearance near us, alongside all the other wildlife that comes our way.
