Wildlife Dreams – Year Review 2025

January

The year began in true winter spirit: goshawks in the snow, while the hide was still unfinished and without electricity. A cold start, but full of promise.

February

All electrics were completed, and we welcomed special guests from Photo Logistics, Spain a big milestone as the hide truly came to life.

March

Our first YouTube video was released with Ashley Bernard, marking the start of our video journey.

A successful soft opening, allowing us to fine-tune the experience ahead of the official launch.

Exploring new locations, laying the groundwork for future hides and experiences in Estonia, Slovenia, Spain and South Africa.

July

I had the honour of representing Visit Estonia at the Global Birdfair in the UK, sharing Estonia’s incredible wildlife with an international audience.

August

The longest days of the year brought unforgettable nights:
Raccoon dogs, badgers, and foxes drinking from the kingfisher pond after dark.
This remains the only hide in Europe where you can photograph these species at night.

A special Digital Camera Magazine's Reader’s Challenge at our wildlife hide in Estonia in partnership with Sony and wildlife photographer Paul Browning.

September

We welcomed Simon Browning, Sony wildlife photographer, along with Kate, for Digital Camera Magazine’s Readers’ Challenge their landmark 300th edition.

Baltic Nature Tourism Seminar

October

The magazine was released, followed by a trip to Latvia (where I spent a great night at Riga Airport) for Baltic nature tourism, where I joined a Q&A panel on wildlife tourism.

November

Simon McCabe arrived to begin filming Wild Estonia, capturing the heart of our winter experience.

December

On December 12th, Wild Estonia  “Three Days in the Ultimate Winter Photography” Hide launched on YouTube.
The response was incredible with 80,000 views in just three weeks.

Christmas came and went with guests from over nine different countries already visiting the hide.
